    Why is the blog called SHIFT_beep?

      No good reason. Was just scrabbling around for a name. Beep is a geeky sort of word because it’s a noise from sci-fi. Shift is as in the key on a keyboard. It makes the first word upper case and turns a hyphen into an underscore.

      In hindsight it was a bad choice because the underscore makes google see it as one word. Searches for “shift beep”, “shiftbeep” or “shift-beep” don’t feature the blog anywhere!
